Privacy Policy for Foldling

Foldling ("the Game", "the App") is developed and published by Sami Ünal ("we", "us", "our").
This policy explains how Foldling handles information. The short version: Foldling does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.
1. Information We Collect
We collect nothing.
Foldling does not ask you to create an account, does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal detail. There is no sign-in, no profile, and no user registration of any kind.
Foldling does not collect analytics, usage statistics, crash reports, advertising identifiers, device identifiers, or location data.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
Foldling saves a small amount of information locally on your device so that the Game works as expected:
- Game progress — which levels you have completed and your results in them.
- Settings — your preferences, such as audio and accessibility options.
This information never leaves your device. We cannot see it, access it, or retrieve it. It is not backed up to any server operated by us.
If your device is set to back up app data (for example through iCloud Backup or Google Backup), your saved progress may be included in that backup. Those backups are handled by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies, not by us.
3. Network Access
Foldling is a fully offline game. It does not connect to the internet, and it does not request network permission on your device. No data is transmitted anywhere.
4. Third-Party Services
Foldling contains no third-party software development kits or services. Specifically, it contains no advertising networks, no analytics providers, no crash reporting services, no social media integrations, and no cloud or backend services.
No third party receives any information from Foldling.
5. Permissions
Foldling does not request access to your camera, microphone, photos, contacts, location, files, or any other protected feature of your device.
Foldling reads the physical posture of foldable devices (whether the device is open, folded, or in between). This is a core part of how the Game is played. This information is used only in the moment, only to control the Game, and is never stored or transmitted.
6. Purchases
Foldling is a paid app. Your purchase is processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see, receive, or store your payment details, billing address, or account information. We receive only anonymous, aggregated sales figures from the stores.
Payment handling is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy.
7. Children's Privacy
Foldling is suitable for all ages and does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because no data is collected from any user, Foldling does not knowingly collect information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and there is no data to delete or disclose.
8. Your Rights
Privacy laws such as the GDPR (European Union and United Kingdom), the CCPA/CPRA (California), and KVKK (Türkiye) give you rights over personal data held about you — including the right to access, correct, delete, or export it, and the right to object to its processing.
We hold no personal data about you. There is therefore nothing for us to access, correct, delete, export, or transfer, and no data is ever sold or shared.
To remove the information stored locally on your device, delete the App. This permanently erases your saved progress and settings from that device.
9. Data Security
Because no data is collected or transmitted, there is no data of yours in our possession that could be exposed in a breach. Information saved on your device is protected by your device's own operating system security.
10. Changes to This Policy
If Foldling changes in a way that affects privacy — for example if a future version adds online features — we will update this policy and change the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will also be noted in the App's release notes.
